The first topic I journaled about when I started keeping a journal in May of 2021 was about how we can only really hold one thought or one voice in our heads at a time. That being the case, it’s important we monitor the voice and change the subject if the topic get too dark or too negative or isn’t serving you well. You are in charge of your own thoughts or your own voice. Make sure that voice is serving you and working with you. Are you using your voice to rehash a breakup? Change the subject. Is that voice telling you that you messed up, you’re no good? Change the subject. Keep a positive beacon out there. Think about your goals, what do you want to accomplish with your life? What small change can you make to yourself to that will have positive benefits for future you? Now put a plan in place and execute, but always monitor that voice to make sure it is saying nice things to you. Make it a great day everybody.
