Get up and move! This is for those of you that don’t already have a regular exercise practice. If you’re waiting to ‘feel like it’, it’s never going to happen. You’re waiting for someone to save you? Well here I am. You must do something for exercise every day. If you are just coming off the couch and over weight, go for a 30 minute walk. Do it every day. You are a person who walks now, and cares about their health, and feels good about themselves. Over time you can increase intensity with slow jogging for 30 minutes.
Now I know what you’re doing, you’re making up excuses as to why this won’t work for you. But you know they’re all bullshit. ‘I don’t have time’; no you have the same amount of time as guys who train for ultra endurance events, you’re just not prioritizing the time you have.
I’m hopeful that in some way we are all on our great journey of self-improvement. Exercise is the first step for so many because it proves to us that we can do something hard, and that we have some amount of control over our well-being.
Just get out there. Our goal here is earned dopamine, trending toward endorphins. We want you to feel better about yourself. We want you to have agency in your life.
